    GENERAL PRESENTATION OF DUTIES

    The position will report to the Chief Accountant of the company and therefore is within the Account and Finance Department.

    REQUIRED ACADEMIC / EDUCATION BACKGROUND / FORMER EXPERIENCE

     - Minimum 5 years experience within an accounting department in a similar role is required.

    COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE

     Good knowledge of the mechanism of general accounting and analytical accounting.

    - Able to build a treasury plan and budget expenses.

    - Ability to maintain filing of vouchers, suppliers invoices and bank statements. Working knowledge in marketing, HR, statistics and general administration.

    - Proven ability to work with colleagues remotely (phone, skype, email).

    - Proven skills in IT tools, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.

    - Good verbal and written communication skills in French and English.

    - Acute sense of detail, a curiosity and focus on details are paramount.

    - Able to work in a team.

    - Good interpersonal skills.

    - Highly professional, honest, serious and respectful of the hierarchy.

    - Painstaking worker.

    RESPONSIBILITIES/DELEGATION/DECISION-MAKING

    Responsibilities:

    - In charge of recording accounting vouchers under the supervision of the chief accountant.

    - In charge of bank reconciliation, supplier invoice log follow up, diesel consumption follow up.

    - In charge of maintaining cost analysis of machine operations.

    - In charge of ensuring that internal procedures are applied.

    - Organize monthly physical inventory picking (Stock items, cash, assets etc).

    - Organize accounting department archives.
