    GENERAL PRESENTATION OF DUTIES

    The position will report to the Chief Accountant and therefore is within the Account and Finance Department.

     REQUIRED ACADEMIC / EDUCATION BACKGROUND / FORMER EXPERIENCE

     - Minimum 5 years experience within an accounting department in a similar role is required

     COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE

    - Good knowledge of the mechanism of general accounting and analytical accounting

    - Ability to maintain filing of vouchers, suppliers invoices and bank statements. Working knowledge in marketing, HR, statistics and general administration.

    - Perform purchases of spare parts and consumables as instructed by the chief accountant following the issuance of local purchase order.

    - Liaising with ship agents for the clearing through customs of the spare parts being imported.

    - Proven ability to work with colleagues remotely (phone, skype, e-mail).

    - Proven skills in IT tools, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.

    - Good verbal and written communication skills in French and English.

    - Acute sense of detail, a curiosity and focus on details are paramount.

    - Able to work in a team.

    - Good interpersonal skills.

    - Highly professional, honest, serious and respectful of the hierarchy.

    - Painstaking worker.
