    ACCOUNTING OFFICER

    Reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration, the Accounting Specialist will be the expert within the company regarding all technical accounting / statutory matters so far as they affect the organization.

    Support the Hof FA in the production of key statutory / legal accounting reports such as the Annual Report and Fiscal report.

    Ensure that key financial controls within The Organization are operating effectively.

    Support the Hof FA in her management of the transaction process teams.

    Support the Hof FA her dealings with auditors (both internal and external) and other interested, third party stakeholders.

    Deputize for the Hof FA during her absence.

     Keys responsibilities

    • In charge of recording accounting vouchers and journal entries.
    • In charge on invoice posting (Customers and Vendors).
    • In charge of, supplier invoice log follow up, diesel consumption follow up.
    • In charge on customer invoicing and account cleaning.
    • In charge of maintaining cost analysis of machine operations.
    • Organize monthly physical inventory picking (Stock items, cash, assets, etc...).
    • In charge of monthly tax declaration.
    • In charge of cost accounting.
    • In charge of all payments.
    • Control and validate salaries.
    • In charge of fixed asset management.
    • In charge of petty cash.
    • Check Daily bank transactions, and insure value date are respected.
    • Prepare Monthly bank reconciliation.
    • Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
    • In charge of monthly closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
    • Establishes the balance of payments for the Central bank (BEAC).
    •  Work with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
    • Supervise DSF elaboration.
    • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
    • Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
    • Organize accounting department archives

     Education and Qualifications

    • Ability to delegate work responsibility with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Focus result.
    • Problem solving and strategizing capabilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate with peers, subordinate and executive management.
    • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

    Skill and Specifications:

    • A bachelor's degree in accounting is mandatory.
    • Additional courses in tax, treasury management.
    • Three to five years’ experience in Accounting.
