    RESIDENT INTERNAL CONTROLLER

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with the local laws of Cameroon that is guiding the activities of banks in the country.
    • Report issues to Head of Control as they comme up, ensure adherence of cash holdings to the limits insured.
    • Ensure the following reports are promptly rendered to Head of Internal Control: weekly activities report-monthly fixed assets verification reports-monthly store count report, daily call over of transaction tickets.
    • Follow up on Inspection Reposrt with a view to ensure 100% compliance, ensure timely and accurate rendition of statutory returns to the relevant regulatory bodies in Cameroon.
    • Review of GL and Balance Sheet of the branch and report exceptions to Head of Internal Control.
    • Review of FTL operations in line with RIC'S Checklist/Manual with particular attention to the local laws guiding clearing in Cameroon.
    • Review the branch's OPEX and CAPEX to ensure that it is in line with the approval authorities in place.
    • Review proof of account on bi weekly basis and ensure that long outstanding items are cleared and controlled exceptions forwarded to Head of Internal Control.
    • Review of CSU operations in line with RIC's checklist/manual without prejudice to the country's regulatory requirements.
    • Ensures that abridged financial statement is displayed in the banking hall, review of credits of the branch in the line with the manual.
    • Place emphasis on income recognition, documentation and performance, ensures general cleanliness of the internal and external surroundings of the branch.
    • Monitor the activities of receipt and dispatch of mails in line with the manual/monitors punctuality and attendance of staff.
    • Ensures that the branch has an archive with suitable racks or fireproof cabinets and that called over tickets are properly stored in the archive.
    • Ensures that Sweep exercice is done regularly.
    • To ensure that the IT room is not easily accessible and the movement register in and out of the IT room is maintained.
    • All other physical control must be in place in line with checklist, ensure that the branch complies with the requirements of the relevant regulatory bodies in Cameroon.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    • A citizen of Cameroon and maximum of 38 years of age as at December 31,2014.
    • Must have a good and strong working relationship and be able to engage others around the business agenda especially with colleagues around Control.
    • Must be Bilingual English/French.
    • Must be Computer Literate, Honest and Proactive.
    • Must be able to coach and develop others.
