JOB DESCRIPTION
- Acquiring new customers and deepening relationship with existing customers;
- Participating very actively in the sale of salary domiciliation accounts (SDA) to the employees of approved multinational companies and large local corporate organisations;
- Mobilising deposits through the sale of term deposits, individual savings accounts and
other account categories in order to constantly ensure growth in the deposit base of the
company;
- Participating actively in direct and digital selling to ensure the profitability of the institution;
- Constantly building relationship with existing customers to ensure profitability of the company;
- Actively participating in branch sales meetings and branch sales planning to generate action plans to meet sales targets;
- Developing strategies and ensuring their timely implementation with the view of increasing the profitability of the business;
- Reviewing strategies implementation and sales/ marketing analysis with the view of increasing the profitability of the business;
- Ensuring excellence on each service interaction with customers;
- Handling customer’s issues and complaints in a timely fashion;
- Planning and carrying out desk-based prospecting and maintaining up to date call
reports (call memos);
- Obtaining timely and relevant market feedback useful for product development;
competitor monitoring and customer service improvement;
- Preparing regular sales activities and performance reports;
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
KEY ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS
Qualification:
- Holder of at least a 1st degree (or its equivalent) in banking, finance, sales, marketing or any related discipline;
- Bilingual in French and English;
- Strong knowledge of microfinance products with a clear understanding of their benefits
to customers and to the institution;
- Strong ability to identify prospects and assess their potentials;
- Strong ability to follow through on promises to customers;
- Strong ability to match and positively present product features and benefits to
customers needs;
- Sharp judgments as to when to ask, attempt to close or ease off on a prospect;
- Strong and verifiable track record of constantly hitting or exceeding sales targets;
- At least 2 years of relationship management experience acquired from a microfinance
institution or from the retail banking department of a banking institution;
- Strong address book and strong networking capabilities;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong reporting and analytical skills;
- Visibly a charismatic individual with a pleasing personality;
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver against set objectives;
- Basic social media marketing skills;
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint;
- Familiar with the functioning of any microfinance or banking software.
